Kagelow Mt.Fuji Hostel Kawaguchiko has been newly renovated in September 2015. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. There are shared bathrooms on the ground floor, and Mt. The staff were so friendly and the cafe and restaurant were wonderful! The beds were also super comfortable.

Located in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.7 km from Fuji-Q Highland, Fuji Guest House Ao provides accommodation with a shared lounge, private parking and a terrace. It is close to the main station, and the facilities are excellent. The staff was really friendly, they offered tips on what to see around the area, and made an effort to make small talk with me in japanese even though I only speak the language a little. There's a rooftop with amazing views of mount Fuji where you can relax and enjoy your meals/drinks, and you can rent their foldable bikes for free to visit the surrounding lakes.... Oh, and did I mention the free snacks? You get free snacks... Everything was amazing :)

Set in Fujikawaguchiko, less than 1 km from Lake Kawaguchi, HOSTEL MICHIKUSA-YA offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a shared lounge. The host Michi was extremely friendly, funny and flexible (and very accommodating)! Exploring Kawaguchiko and getting to its attractions (onsens, hikes, caves, etc.) without a car and only using public buses is not so easy, but Michi gave lots of good suggestions on how one could do so. The common area and the garden was very beautiful (see the photo attached!)

Hostel Mt. Fuji - FUKUYA is set in Fujiyoshida, 1.4 km from Fujikyu Highland. Gekkoji Station is 450 metres away and Fujisan Station is 1 km away. Complimentary tea and coffee are available. Everything was great, the host was very friendly and made us a delicious breakfast each morning. The location is great with very good access to train and bus. The views around the area are beautiful. I would recommend it.

Located a 5-minute stroll from Shimoyoshida Station, Hostel & Salon Saruya offers a renovated 80-year old Japanese-style accommodation with free WiFi. One of my favourite stays during a month in Japan. Definitely more of a boutique guest house than a hostel. Beautiful design and very comfortable rooms. Lovely communal space with nice teas available and the sister cafe (where you have the breakfast) was a highlight of my entire trip ( I went 3 times in less than 24 hourse). Location was amazing and I LOVED Fujiyoshida as a little town. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone looking to stay near Fuji. Easy walk to Churieto Pagoda, recommend going for sunrise.

A mere 10-minute drive from the Fujikyu Highland amusement park, Fujiyoshida Youth Hostel offers private Japanese-style rooms, free Wi-Fi at the lobby. Coin-operated laundry facilities are on-site. Great location in a cute area and walkable to train station. The hostess was so kind and generous also! We loved our stay and would definitely stay again!

Situated in Fujikawaguchiko, 八-Hachi- Accommodation has free bikes, garden, shared lounge, and free WiFi throughout the property. Such a lovely place to stay with Mt Fuji view ! 😊

Dot Hostel&Bar 富士山 is located in Fujikawaguchiko. With a shared lounge, the property also has a bar. American breakfast is available. We stayed in a beautiful twin room which was roomy enough for luggage, a small table and chairs. It included a full bathroom with a tub shower. The lounge area was comfortable and pleasant to hang out in. The kitchen facilities were comfortable enough so that someone could make simple meals for themselves. We traveled to the area by bus, and the bus stop was adjacent to the hostel. Just be careful watching the bus schedule, early and late times are not available. The location was terrific. We had great views of Fujisan, an enjoyable garden area along the lake, and miles of walking or biking path.

Situated in Fujikawaguchiko, 2.2 km from Fuji-Q Highland, TOCORO. Mt.Fuji Station HOSTEL Kawaguchiko features accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. It's so close to the station and the view of Mt Fuji was amazing. The rooms are small but very comfy and clean. It's near a 711 and a Lawson and has lots of Bike rentals nearby. They let you deposit your luggage for the day so you can sightsee without having to pay for coin lockers. Overall such good value.
